Keohane Readymix required electrical infrastructure to support the expansion of its operations through the development of a new concrete batching plant and a new aggregate wash plant facility.
The project involved delivering reliable power distribution, standby generation, energy storage integration and complete electrical installations across multiple work fronts, while ensuring the facilities could support future operational growth and increasing production demands.
DOR Group Electrical Services was appointed to deliver the electrical works associated with both developments.
DOR Group provided a comprehensive electrical solution across the site, covering both the new concrete plant and wash plant developments.
For the new concrete batching plant, our scope included the supply and installation of a new main distribution board together with associated power distribution systems and infrastructure. The project also incorporated a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), where DOR Group worked closely alongside the specialist BESS supplier to complete the electrical integration and associated site wiring required for successful operation.
In parallel, DOR Group delivered the full electrical installation for a new aggregate wash plant from initial construction through to commissioning. Works included containment systems, power distribution, control cabling, motor terminations, process equipment wiring, testing and commissioning.
To support the increased site demand, DOR Group also supplied and installed an 850kVA standby generator together with associated mains distribution infrastructure and changeover arrangements, providing reliable power resilience for critical operations.
Throughout the project, our team coordinated closely with the client, equipment manufacturers and specialist contractors to ensure safe and efficient delivery while maintaining programme milestones.
